Spend 3 days and 2 nights camping with 99 other martial artists. Learn from our expert speakers how to care for your body and future in martial arts.

Admission includes tent camping site in our private campground, access to lectures from our amazing speakers, hard copy of presentations, foam nunchucks, limited edition “Bushido in the Backwoods” t-shirt, fire grilled lunch and s’mores social on Saturday.

Other activities include hiking, archery lesson, nunchaku lesson, martial arts mobility class, and plenty of free time to explore all that the park has to offer.

Fishing, rock climbing, and horseback rides are all within minutes of the campground.

Trail rides are booked through Giant City Stables.

Must bring own fishing/rock climbing/ archery gear and follow all park rules.

The average weather in September is dry with temperatures around 80F during the day and 60F at night.

Giant City is 10 minutes from Carbondale IL (home of Southern Illinois University) should a need for anything arise.

Campers will bring camping gear and food. Fire pits, picnic tables, running water (for cleaning), and restroom are at the campground. Showers available in the park. The restaurant at Giant City Lodge is affordable, delicious, and walking distance from the campground.

Cabins and RV camping are also available (not included with admission). These reservations can be made through the park’s website.

Must be at least 16 years old
All minors must be accompanied by legal guardian
Rain or shine event.
